Bucky”
The
South Carolina Crisis Negotiators Association will annually recognize an award
recipient based on distinguished acts or services relating to the science of law
enforcement crisis negotiations.
This award is to be named in honor of Ret.
Lieutenant Harry E. “Bucky” Phillips of the Lexington County Sheriff’s
Department. Lieutenant Phillips was a founding member of the South Carolina
Crisis Negotiators Association and has served as a loyal and dedicated board
member since it’s inception in 1993. The extraordinary and unselfish acts of
guidance, innovation, and leadership on the part of “Bucky” have helped to grow
the South Carolina Crisis Negotiators Association into a premier professional
association recognized as such throughout the entire United States. In
recognition of his retirement, on behalf of a grateful and indebted association,
this award is to be given.
Nominations for
this award can include, but are not limited to, Individuals, Hostage/Crisis
Negotiations Teams or Units, Agency Heads, Law Enforcement Agencies, Private
Businesses or Corporations.
